Keeping up with the literature
Keeping up with the literature is an important part of research. Fortunately there are systems available to help with the process. Some of these systems are personalised: Google Scholar, for example, offers updates based on your citations. Those wishing to cast a bigger net have two options available:
- subscribe to TOC email alerts,
- or subscribe to RSS feeds.
I prefer the RSS approach, and use the Feedly aggregator service to manage those feeds. Below I have listed the journals I have subscribed to (updated December 2016), with links to their RSS feeds for new articles:
- Australasian Physical & Engineering Sciences in Medicine
- Brachytherapy
- Biomedical Physics & Engineering Express
- International Journal of Radiation Oncology • Biology • Physics
- Journal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics
- Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology
- Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences
- Journal of Medical Radiation Sciences
- Journal of Radiation Oncology
- Lancet Oncology
- Medical Dosimetry
- Medical Physics
- Physica Medica
- Physics and Imaging in Radiation Oncology
- Physics in Medicine and Biology
- Practical Radiation Oncology
